Jama Masjid (Ash)Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India, and stands across the road from the Red Fort. Built in 1656, it is an eloquent reminder of the Mughal religious fervour. Its spacious courtyard holds thousands of the faithful who offer prayers. The area surrounding Jama Masjid is like another World. Located in the centre of the old city, the Mosque sits on top of a large hill, projecting high into the Old-Delhi skyline.

Jama Masjid Mosquee was built by 5000 artisans, with red sandstone and marble.
